The Learning Spanish Like Crazy falls flat in this area. The only thing that they offer is the audio lessons, there is no software or ebook component to this guide, and that is really a shame because the audio files are top-quality.

The most unfortunate part of this for most people is that they are not always good at remembering things that they hear alone, and they won't be able to necessarily read the language on the street. While Spanish, unlike English, is a phoenetic langauge, and words will always read exactly as they appear, it is important to know how to read street signs and menus at restaurants. Regardless, it's important many times to get the full experience, and unfortunately, Learning Spanish Like Crazy won't give that to you.

Practicality of Lessons

The lessons you'll be learning are fairly practical in topic, and can definitely help you on a vacation if you're ordering from a restaurant or asking for directions from a local. The reason is that while these kinds of vocabulary words are not expressly taught during the course, they are interspersed through all of the lessons, so you'll pick up on a lot of little things along the way.

In addition, this course was created using a Latin American Speaker, so you'll learn the more practical spanish language that is spoken by 90% of the world. This course focuses on the Central and South American version of the Spanish Language, which is often ignored by other courses in favor of Castillian Spanish, the dialect spoken in Spain (and only in Spain). For that reason, we scored the practicality of this course as a 10/10.

Linguisic Fundmentals

This course does not expressly teach the fundamentals, they expect you to pick it up along the way. After the first few introductory lessons, the narrator speaks entirely in Spanish to you and expects you to figure out on what he or she is saying. While this may sound intimidating, they go slowly and the directions are usually very simple anyways. If you are understanding the lessons well, you'll definitely be able to follow along. This really contributes to the linguistic fundamentals in a way that most audio courses do not since it allows you to check your progress as you go along. If you don't get it, then you're going too fast.

Overall

Overall, while we feel that the Learning Spanish Like Crazy course is an excellent product, we liked Rocket Spanish a whole lot better for full language comprehension. However, if you're using this course to prepare for a trip or just to learn to converse with coworkers, then this course is an excellent way to learn what you want to learn without learning what you don't necessarily need to know.
